From Wardle & Company, a British firm wholesale famous for 19th Century Majolica. It has a pattern of birds and fans on a textured background featuring cherry blossoms and chrysanthemums. This antique teapot dates to the 1880s and is excellent vintage condition with chips or cracks. It does have an area on the lid (see 2nd photo) but it's under the glaze and not a chip. The colors are bright and rich and it does hold water. Don't miss this great estate find! Shipping upgrade available.
