I grew up there tracking through the swamp and woods at every opportunity as a child— I was only 5 years old the first time I ventured in, became lost and found my way out. My teacher had said moss grew on the North side of trees- but to me it appeared that moss was on all sides. Eventually wandering I saw where it was light thru the trees- I walked toward the light- came to the edge of a fence, and followed that around the outside to where my family was working in the field.
