Vintage sterling silver earrings. Acquired from the estate of a fine jewelry collector, these modernist / primitive style drop earrings feature a large crescent moon shape with an openwork wire design. The earrings are forged by hand, rather than cast—likely by an artisan studio jeweler. Unsigned and acid tested for sterling silver. They are a striking statement size with an understated bohemian quality. The ear wire hooks on the back are soldered towards the middle so the top wholesale of the earring artfully overlaps the ear lobe. 1.5” length and 0.75” width. Excellent pre-owned condition.
